BCCS Cave and Karst Preserves

The BCCS currently owns and manages five cave and karst preserves:

  1. The Butler Cave Homestead Preserve
  2. The Bobcat Cave Preserve
  3. The Robins Rift Preserve
  4. The Postmaster House Preserve
  5. The White-Wefer Property

In addition to the preserves the BCCS owns, we manage access to cave and karst resources in the Water Sinks Karst Preserve.

The BCCS also assists the owners of Breathing Cave by maintaining a kiosk, parking area, and footpath.

Preserve Access

Access to BCCS-owned preserves is via cave trips organized on BCCS Project Weekends.

Access to the Water Sinks Karst Preserve is detailed here.

Breathing Cave is is open from May 15 to Sept. 15 and closed at all other times. Breathing cave is NOT open to trips where a fee is charged. More information here.
